E-mail Format - Speak Now or Forever Receive HTML-formatted Announcements

I'm on the verge of changing the nightly Listology "updated content" e-mail to be HTML instead of plain text. If you object, post your objections here. Silence indicates acceptance.
I just enabled that text message for myself so I can let you know tomorrow whether I would prefer HTML or text. What would be the benefit of HTML?
Mostly it's for formatting of the news text. If a news item contains a link and bold tags, currently you just see the A HREF and B tags, but if it were an HTML message, it would be rendered rather that raw source.
Well, I get my first message this morning. I personally prefer flat text for these types of messages but I can see why you might want to go with HTML for readability. I guess the best case scenario would be to give people an option between the two.
If for some reason that can't be done I think you should do whatever you feel is in the best interests of Listology. If you think HTML updates would make Listology look more professional then I say go for it! :-)
I don't actually get that email, but wanted to register my objection on principle (I still read email using a text-only mailreader)
